need help plz with vgn ar825e

Hi i was wondering if someone had a vgn ar825e and could help me by uploading the recovery discs and drivers i recently had a problem with mine and it wont get pass the windows loading screen =/

Have you tried hitting F10 to kick off the recovery from the hard drive?

Usually F10 would bring up the recovery function for you, if the recovery partition is still intact on the drive. Then just follow the instruction.

vgn ar825e

Does anyone know how to disable the onboard speakers on the vgn 825e? I always use external speakers plugged into the headphone jack on my Sonys, but on this model, the onboard speakers are still on.
is there a way to override this?

Normally when you plug in the headset to the audio port, this would "mute" the on-board sound. Am I missing something?

You can also try going into playback devices and disable the audio from the on-board device if you wish.

Hi, Thanks, yeah I was expecting the sound to mute from using the headphone jack, but doesnt seem to be the case.
how do I go about disabling the audio from the "on board device"?

I don't think it can be done? I only say this because if you disable speakers I think your audio out will also be disabled? I think something is wrong with the auto mute and since that is the problem that is what needs to be fixed? If a work around I think qhn is talking something in "Control Panel" "Sounds".
