Hello, I have just bought an Acer Aspire 8935G with the blu-ray player. I had it delivered to work and when I came to demonstrate the blu-ray player to my colleagues the two MacBook owners took great delight in ridiculing me when the blu-ray disc just displayed a green screen (with sound).

Now, I have narrowed the problem down the the flippable graphics card - however, contrary to where I assumed the problem would lie, the blu-ray disc played fine in the integrated, low-performance card but returned to the green screen when I switched back to the high performance ATI HD 4670.

Part of me wonders if this is a HDCP issue, however obviously something is not quite right as if the Intel chipset can run it without any problem then the ATI should have no problems whatsoever.

I have run Windows Update and Acer Arcade updater and installed all updates.

Also, whilst I am here - I am hoping to run the laptop outputting to a 2560x1600 Dell 3007 monitor - is it possible to do this through HDMI? (HDMI 1.3 supports that resolution)

I have a HDMI/Dual Link DVI cable however all the laptop shows is 1280x800 which means the HDMI is only outputting at single-link. (This particular Dell monitor only supports 1280x800 over single link.)

The other option is the displayport, however duallink DVI adapters for that output cost silly money.

Thanks in advance for any advice you can give!
