So here it is. Will run them a few more times to see if they stay consistent.

EDIT- Hmmnn, for some reason my CPU is low....but the GPU score has been pretty much consistent the last two runs. Always hovers right around 10.2k. Hope this helps!
EDIT EDIT- Also, these were done with stock drivers and speeds. Just fyi.

Dell has a great return policy.

very disappointing as GDDR5 was the whole backbone behind the strange mem layout ATI used. To drop to GDDR3 to obviously cut power consumption is rather silly considering the power and position behind the 4870 x2. Knowing all this the GTX 280 is now an overall better choice thanks to Nvidia's driver support and PhysX

Don't forget the 4870 is newer technology.

Search and tried all the tools out there to OC, and no luck. What other methos or route to gettin' the 4870's OC'ed?

You tried all the tools in the original post?

Which operating system are you using?

I have received email confirmation from someone inside Dell's Gaming Engineering department that the memory used in the 4870s IS GDDR3.

That's not good.

No shocker there. Mass false advertising, big mess up on Dell's end... not good at all...

I canceled my order today. Dell decided my order was worth delaying I guess. I ordered on 9/26 and was told it wasn't coming until November.

I don't blame you bro, if this wasn't a replacement, i would have cancelled two weeks ago and buy the one from Sam's Club, as I understand it, they have those already in their Wharehouse.

Black Friday will come soon enough and I am sure you'll get a smoking deal...

Are you gonna go with the 280s or ATI?

I already owned the 280s so I'd get the 4870s.

For my first one I only had to wait 2 weeks. Others are reporting they were getting them in 1-2 weeks. Plus there is a new rumor that there will be a second supplier of the LCDs. So hopefully we can choose not to get the Samsung screens.

It's similar to the Samsung screen that came with the M1730. Do you know if you had a Samsung with your old system?

I wish these things had the RGB LED option
