ughhhh now every one thinks i am the idiot ....
Now to clarify, i do know the Asus W90p does indeed have 4850's they are 512v RAM vs the M17x's 4850's with 1 gig vram.
the Asus uses the upside down design vs the MXM 3.0 standard that the M17x uses.
Why anyone in their right mind would switch cards with the Asus is beyond me since the MXM 3 provides more voltage and is not proprietary.... is beyond me.
Now the reason i mention this is because they are the
EXACT same die and that makes them the same card and unless there is a a defect in the card. The cards should olverclock to about the same and provide the same-ish scores. The only thing would be the desktop chipset the Asus W90p(x58) that allows for more bandwidth (x 16 x16 vs x8 x8 ) but that has a very very negligable gain in this case since the Mobile cards now cannot push that much out yet
So the Asus is VERY relevant to the M17x since it does in fact have 4850's as well.

this omment was putt here because Mandrake should know around what res because he does have the exact same cards( the Vram in this case wont help since Vantag is run @ a stanrd res of 1280 which wont fill up the 512 on the Asus)
