I've read about those cards before, code name Evergreen. Acer has already announced a laptop with one of the new cards in it. Can't wait for an AW system with the 5800 series.

M17x P8600 how to oc

I was just wondering since i have the same processor P8600, how did you oc it. I have tried to do it in the BIOS but everytime i try when i log out and save the new settings in the BIOS and the computer restarts all i get is a black screen. Oh i do have two ati 4870 in crossfire mode.
So if you can please describe the process you did to oc it .

Just with the bios, but i just get a black screen when the computer restart, and when i do get it to start it just says oc fail??? , i don't get it.

Yes after 3 failed boots it will reset your OC. I wanted to know what you set your FSB to in the bios.

Yes that would actually cause a problem. Start at 1200 FSB and test working up from there.

This goes back to understanding the systems fsb:mem ratio. If you are interested in some of the math behind it I can post it. I asked a 19 year old Brazilian student for it and he gave it to me.
