The Sam's Club config

Please check this out. Am I missing something or is this a considerable better deal than anything else out there? I tried to build this same system on Dell's website and it came out to something like $2678. Apparently by getting Wal-Mart involved you can save more than $500.

The only real issue I see is that they only offer a 1 year warranty, although AW might let you extend that anyway.

I just wish AW would let me config this exact same system for the exact same price on Dell's website. Then I would add a solid-state as the lead drive and move this one to the second spot. Might even bump up the processor or GPUs. Still, this seems more tempting than anything else I've seen for price-to-performance--just want to make sure I haven't overlooked anything.

Very cool. Did not know about the SAMs Club deal. Yeh it's too bad you can't config it through them. They must have some deal setup where AW ships SAMS pre-configured models.

Just called Dell, you can buy the Laptop from Sam's Club, or any reseller, and call them to purchase the extended 1/2/3/4 year warranty with complete care. Happy hunting!

(BTW, thats a great price on that configuration)

You know, I was thinking:

I am waiting on Dell to send me an M17X replacement with weaker specs than the Sam's Club one. Once I get it, I have to cough up extra cash to get an extended warranty anyway...

Maybe I should:

Buy the Sam's Club M17X, cough up the extra cash to extend the warranty on it, then sell the replacement Dell sends me? How much could I get for it I wonder... thoughts?

www.Costco.com has the M17x and the M15x. I am looking at the m15x.
