Dead Toshiba Satellite x205-s9349

Hi,

My Toshiba Satellite x205-s9349 has suddenly stopped working. It was working just the other day and when I went to turn it on, after I woke up, it just failed. I did notice that the power button did in fact turn it on and the fans and everything started up and whir for a second or two, then they just turned off. Although, the power light still stays on, the monitor has no display whatsoever and nothing moves.

I have tried the basic: unplug battery and turn it on, unplug AC adapter and turn it on, remove the RAM to see if it was that (which of course got me a blinking power light indicating I had no RAM), and I get nothing.

Attached is a picture of the laptop. I'm sorry it's in a document. The file was too big to upload as an image.

Is there anything I can do to make the laptop work?

Try the basic cold start?

Removing battery and ac, hold down the power button for about 40secs. Plug the ac back on and try again.

I tried that and it did not work. I didn't think about holding it down for 40 seconds though. I tried 10 seconds, but that didn't work either.

Can you borrow another ac adapter somewhere and give it a try. Your board recognized that ram was missing when you removed them, so it still has some hope, I hope.
