Older thread but same issue here.... Right click>Edit on the batch file in Vista runs the file, I got click happy and off it went. My Bios was v1.08 and it's been successfully downgraded to v1.03 as well. The new laptops at Best Buy are Win 7 with a Bios v1.12. Tech support was lucky to barely speak my language and didn't offer anything higher than the v1.03 as posted. I'd appreciate it if someone could back up their v1.08 and post it somewhere if possible. From a Gateway to a Gateway, shouldn't pose any license or rights issues I wouldn't think.
This started out as an attempt to see if a different Bios supported hardware virtualization on the Gateway NV52. Is it an option on the newer Bios vers? Can a Bios be modified to add the support?
Thanks guys, great site.
