Upgrade Dell Studio 16 Screen

Hi

My Dell shipped with the 720 vertical pixel screen, and its awful, I really want to upgrade to the 1080 version, but I cant find anywhere to buy the screen from, and I also cant find any instructions to see if taking the display assembly apart is even possible. I even wouldnt mind having to fork out for a completely new lid and display assembly.

Does anyone know what I can do about this or where to look?

eBay or lcd4less, just to name a few. Browse the forum for guides in replacing LCDs.

Hey,
It's not recommended to upgrade or downgrade your screen resolution, however it all depends on your video card. You can overload it while connecting to a different screen, and it may require more processing power and a chance of damaging your video card and the cost of repairs can be as high as replacing a motherboard. But if you still want to go for it, here is some new DEll screens with higher resolution: ScreenCountry.com
