A keypad plus numbers on the top row. I always wondered why? This laptop has and is the first laptop I have that has the number keys. I find my self using the keypad since I find it easier to use and now that I have a laptop that has it.

I have this memory installed in my Inspiron 14R. 6gb (one 2gb & one 4gb). Great performance! I highly recommend Kingston.

Well what can I say, I needed that little bit of extra storage that as a family we could all use. After searching around I narrowed it down to three suppliers, not the cheapest, but all well...

I purchased this Nook Color specifically because I was taking a very long trip to China and wanted to be able to read without carrying a ton of books. I also liked that it had email capability...

This is an awesome mouse with an excellent grip for a mid sized to large size hand. Right-handed, comfortable, trendy, upscale, red, responsive, functional, task oriented. Overall A+++

The reason you still have the top row of number keys on computer keyboards is that it is a throwback to days of yore when any typing was done on a mechanical typewriter. The numpad was added to computer keyboards as accountants started hucking their old adding machines in favor of a more multi-functional computer system.
My mother has worked in book keeping and accounting most of her adult life, the top row of keys SUCKS for entering in long strings of numbers into spreadsheets. With very little practice you can pick up 10 key really quick and pound the figures out like a madman. I learned 10 key all on my lonesome in the 7th grade (when I first started playing with computers)
