Well with my relatively short experience with a A64 3400+, I can pretty safely say that you can comfortably expect 2-3hrs with light use. I think 1.5 must be when you decide to do more intensive stuff. i.e. gaming

So it will be released at pctorque this week? HOLY %$*$
I'm SO ordering it
I was considering between Acer 3200 and Ibm T41 , but i think i'll go with acer ))))))

It's a hard comparison. Your computer is using the DTR model. A mobile version of the 3400+ hasen't shipped yet.

The Ferrari has a 2800+ true mobile not DTR. It consums lower power and has a clock of 1.6 Ghz.

Also, you have to consider what kind of battry they are using. If you can order a 12cell vs the regular 8cell then that another 1-2 hours depending on use.

I'm wondering, does anybody know how this processor will compare to the new Dothans? The ferrari 3200 looks *ohhh so sweet* and I hope they keep updating the line until August when I plan on buying a new laptop... Oh my gosh love at first sight! *tosses plans for a cl56 aside*
