The Auto Contrast "feature"

As many of you know, the M17x's screen changes the backlight intensity to match the contrast of the image on the screen. And can be highly annoying when browsing the web. Does anybody have any idea on how to reduce/fix it?

Tried them all. I'm afraid it's built onto the LCD.

This is an annoying feature of the LCD itself. The only way to fix it is replacing the LCD.

Took me 2 months to even notice it. Like I said earlier there are rumors of a second supplier of LCDs so you may be able to get it swapped in the future.
