Videocard on Acer Aspire 7520G

Hello. I'm from Ukraine

I'm writing to ask you about upgrading the laptop Acer Aspire 7520G.

It had nvidia 8400M G, which is faulty.

Question :

Is my laptop compatible with NVidia GF 9600M GT MXM II 512 MB ?

Has anybody experienced in changing videocard in acer aspire 7520g ?

I am not sure if you can swap out the graphic card on the Acer without exchanging the whole motherboard.

And if it requires a MoBo swap there might not be a MoBo that is compatible other than w/8400? Do you know if your current GPU is MXM? Check for starters.

it is MXM-II, should fit. hopefully the bios will support it. worth a shot. if not, that model also shipped with an 8600 so that would be a slight upgrade. Also have seen ATI HD3650 installed with no problems.
