Windows 7 Ultimate and E1705 64bit help

Hi everyone. Been ages since I have been here but have a question. I am running 64 bit Win 7 Ultimate and have 2 issues. One is the drivers for the sound. They don't let the subwoofer activate. Sorta like when Vista installs the default driver. and 2 I would like to know how to get rid of the smbus exclamation in the device manager. This was the only issues so far and wow is this OS beautiful. Any help is appreciated..Wish dell would put up some 64bit win7 chipset drivers..

UPDATE..SMbus error gone after intel website chipset drivers installed...all that is is left is a base system device. Any clues? Subwoofer is still not functional either.

Final Update and kudos to Dave-P. The drivers for the vista versions of the audio do indeed work on the win 7 installation if you uninstall the high def audio device that windows installs first...Then run the dell drivers and perfect install and sub working. Also the Ricoh drivers on the dell site for vista installed without a hitch and now the device manager has nothing but goodness. Loving this OS and all is good. This is the 32bit version. but I am sure I could've done it in 64bit also now. Thank you again and good luck.!!!

Glad it worked out for you

I had to revert my audio drivers on my D820 to the Vista version as well. My reason was that the docking station audio jack wouldn't work with the default.

Still a few hiccups getting Win7 working on our older Dell laptops.
