and I definitely had a lemon... I can't believe that ChemUSA claimed they replaced the whole unit. I had the same exact problem on the first one and on replacement. Coincidence? BS!!

Another thing that lead me to believe that I had the same unit is that the HD was still noisy and the Wireless card had the same MAC address.

Bunch of liers if you ask me.

Even though I liked the notebook anyway I don't think I want to reorder it again. Not because they didn't replace the whole unit, but because they lied about it.

I really like the reseller though and if I will probably be ordering from him again if he has anything new I like.

Klas,

Why are you sending your's back? I assume you are having problems with it... I'm sure this was covered in another thread but I couldn't find it.

Nevermind, there's a 15 page thread on the front page. I'm stupid...

did u know the hardrive is hotswappable?

if u remove the 1 screw on the bottom side near the right edge... u can press the unlock latch and the hardrive slides right out... maybe u could just pop it back in to see if that'd fix the noise

do you still have your laptop or did you send it back already?

give it one more try

download this program and see if you'd get any better luck

I've tried that as well
Whoa, i don't think it's hotswappable. Swappable, yeah, but I wouldn't take it out while the computer is running...

you tried powerstrip already?

coz ati-tool was bein retarded when i set it at 400, 215

pstrip let me go higher

460, 225

core can actually go higher, but ati says 390-460 is how high their cores r suppose to go
post #54 of 96
actually no I didn't, but it's too late now anyway. I've tried Radlink & atitool.

Yeah, that was the only way that I could tell this was the same one. I happend to save the MAC address of the wireless card on my wireless router. Unless of course they pulled it out of the first one and put it in a new one, but I highly doubt.

According to what I saw on THG, shouldn't the memory speed of the ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 be closer to the 260 mHz range instead of the 215 mHz range?

hm... i wonder how is that someone got 4k or even 3.5k on this laptop....
