and I definitely had a lemon... I can't believe that ChemUSA claimed they replaced the whole unit. I had the same exact problem on the first one and on replacement. Coincidence? BS!!
Another thing that lead me to believe that I had the same unit is that the HD was still noisy and the Wireless card had the same MAC address.
Bunch of liers if you ask me.
Even though I liked the notebook anyway I don't think I want to reorder it again. Not because they didn't replace the whole unit, but because they lied about it.
I really like the reseller though and if I will probably be ordering from him again if he has anything new I like.
if u remove the 1 screw on the bottom side near the right edge... u can press the unlock latch and the hardrive slides right out... maybe u could just pop it back in to see if that'd fix the noise

Yeah, that was the only way that I could tell this was the same one. I happend to save the MAC address of the wireless card on my wireless router. Unless of course they pulled it out of the first one and put it in a new one, but I highly doubt.
According to what I saw on THG, shouldn't the memory speed of the ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 be closer to the 260 mHz range instead of the 215 mHz range?
