Since the case that came with this was so ghetto

I decided to do some research in finding some adaquette protection in a messenger/style bag...

Answer:

high resistance polyurothane foam 15" skin case

+

targus 15" leather notebook bag

i was going to go with the tom bihn bag (brain cell) and one of his messenger bags

but it was over 100 dollars and i didnt really like the braincell look... it looked like a womans bag

the messenger bag also has a rear compartment which is a compressed folder type area for putting in papers/folders etc

the strap is very good quality, its comfy padding and it has an anti-slip material which is really neat... it really stays on firmly

the material is soft enuff to protect from all scratches, while at the same time its strong enuff to dispese and cushion against a large amount of force/impact

haha it never came with one

i specifically said that i wanted the original logo coz i knew it was a compal cl56 and they held my order until they contacted me saying that their laptops dont come with any kind of logo

i dont think they got it from chembook ... while this may be irrelevant i noticed on my box that it had printed on the cardboard, checkmark boxes for CPU speed all the way up to 2.0ghz

i think the lappy i got mighta been a newer batch to reflect fixes and dothan arrival

yup thats how it is in real life too

the one with the flash is a lil off tho my monitor isnt that dark in real life

u just need to find the sweet spot and the light/dark contrast isnt really an issue unless ur looking at something thats all black like a black screen savor

its from japan ... they make some cool products... shinza has alot of neat stuff u cant get anywhere here

i provided links to buy both cases
i got my targus from compusa tho... didnt want to pay for shipping

the targus has a wire frame around it to add minor everyday use/bump protection and teh bottom has rubber/plastic feet to cusion it when placed upright...

add into account the layer of padded lining for the notebook copartment + the highresistance polyeurthane laptop skin from shinza

and u have alot of damn good protection for about 70 dollars

39.99 targus
29.99 skin

the skin weighs like nothing
the targus is 3 pounds

so i lug around like 10 pounds with all my gear for work/school

i got the large

i think the height or something on teh medium was sligtly smaller then the compalcl56

i'd check the dimensions of your notebook and try to match it up with the interior dimensions that shinza has listed for their skin

ohh i also forgot to add the skin has 2 zippers, but incase if ur wondering, 'wont the zippers cause scratches to the notebook inside?', nope they thought of that and theres a bevel lining on the inside to protect even the zipper from coming into contact with the notebook

Since my camera is a retarded point and shoot with automatic light adjusting/focus it is hard to get an accurate representation of the lcd (there is no way to turn off this feature as far as i can tell)
