M17x fan noise and sound

So I tried my first video game of left 4 dead 2 demo. About 15 seconds in the rear fans start increasing in volume drastically. Through out the game they sound like they are at full blast. A constant Vroooooooooooooooooom. Also I put my hand to the back. The rear right air vent is blowing cool air and it is not hot. The rear left is not blowing as much and it is all hot air. The vent on that side is also pretty hot. Is this considered normal for the M17x when gaming. I am just a little concerned. I have windows 7 and kept the 179.85 drivers. I have dual 280m's. Thanks

Check to see if SLI is enabled in the game. You can turn on the visual SLI indicator through the nvidia system tools.

My M17x does the same thing. I believe this is just normal.

Use HWMonitor to monitor temps. If good no issue. Yes the fans do make some noise.

It does have three fans draws from the bottom sides and top, exhausts through the back. Three fans could explain the disproportionate airflow. But if it has no undesirable outcome? Could just be design.
