DDR2 Ram question

Thread Starter
my notebook previously was on 3gb ram and now i would like to run 64bits Windows 7 so went down to SLS to purchase 1 piece of 2gb RAM.

Here are the model. I duno will have any problems or not as both rams are not the same. I experienced problems booting once in awhile but after going into safe mode, i can boot up in normal mode again. I am not sure is it the OS or the ram.

My original ram is DDR PC2-5300 (333mhz). The shop installed the 2nd piece PC2-6400 (400mhz). Now I am suppose to boot win7 in 64bits and running duo core, am i rite?

I am hoping there would not be any compatibility issue. Hope you guys can advise. Thanks.

You should not have issues. All DDR2 is compatible with other DDR2. Thank JEDEC for that. It will run at the slower speed.
