Asus G50VT-X5...

So I got this computer for my wife a while back from Best Buy since she likes Skype, Sims3, and her random iTunes stuff. I rescently acquired Windows 7 Home Premium, and have a few questions.

First off, I am not familiar with Asus as far as drivers and what not:

1. I am curious if its safe to upgrade her comp to Windows 7?
2. Where would I get Windows 7 Drivers for all her goodies?
3. Any issues with this particular model and Windows 7?

(I should mention its Windows 7 64-bit)

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

You should have no issue upgrading this particular model to W7, we already did it with ours - Vista 64bits to W7 64Bits.

OK, so I reformatted with Windows 7. Two problems:

1. Express Gate? I don't have a CD for it, and I dont know where to download it.
2. The built in cam works, but when I use "LifeFrame" it shows me upside dwon, so I don't know how to fix it. Please advise!

1. Try these?

http://drivers.softpedia.com/downloadTag/Express+Gate

2. Try re-installing the webcam driver.

. Stop the service and process first then
. un-install the current driver.
. Put your download driver to another folder.
. Restart the notebook.
. Install the driver again from the saved folder.

Hope it works out for you.

If you click on each download link, you will see the description of each pack. Pick the one that fits her machine description.

I asked her if she even wanted it and she said no, so I am not gonna bother installing it. I did fix the camera though which was great.

I did attempt to install one of these Express Gate Softwares and it created some sort of 100mb partition on the hard drive. Anyway to remove it without having to reformat again?

You can delete it and merge it with a different partition via Disk Management (just type Disk Management in the universal search bar in the start menu)
