Opinions? Experiences? AVS forums has a lot of threads on this, mostly positive.
That doesn't sound bad at all. I don't know if it has the 120hz refresh rate or not, but a 1080p television for under $400 is not too shabby. I just bought the LG LH40 32" LCD. It has the 120hz refresh rate for fast motion, and it's great as a monitor too.

Bumping this back up cause I have 4 more weeks of this program and I will be working on the back log of titles I havent played/beat.

SO how about this one: 32' Bravia.

60Hz I know but at that size does it matter? Also, I just finished Killzone 2 and watched Avatar (Blu-Ray) and all I gotta say is 'damn' HD what a difference.

I thought Darq had a Bravia but I might be wrong. You can't go wrong with Sony tv's, and my ex has had her multi-system Sony tv since 1993 and it works like it's new.

I'm a newly converted LG fan myself, after having this 32" LH40 as my monitor. I plan on using this as my bedroom tv once I get back to HI, and will be getting a larger LG for the living room.

FF if your still around, what did you end up buying? If anyone still studies this thread, I've sensed tested a Panasonic 1080p 42'' LCD and it works great. Its at Best buy for under 800 but I don't remember the model number.

Haven't bought anything yet, I want to. If I end up buying a new tv I'm going to be ordering the desktop I want to build as well. But that's a whole different can of worms. I don't even know where to start on building a desktop.

Oooo a Desktop too! I just gave mine to my son, so I'm all laptops from here out. Or so the theory goes.

You've waited all this time, you may as well wait until Black Friday. I bet you can pick up a nice HDTV for real cheap now that prices are lower on them.

Yes very true, black Friday can be crazy but worth it. I should probably start piecing together the desktop but I do not know where to start, pretty much lost in the sauce.

What do you want to use it for? I usually start there then figure out what parts to buy that fit those needs. Another good way to go is hit newegg. I usually track the gamers by how many bought X uber motherboard or video card. It kind of gives you a clue what is popular if there are 600 4-5 star reviews. Then you can always ask the people here or on the desktop forums also. That's how I usually did it.

Same as usual. Mulitmedia as well as do some gaming (no Crysis) internet and a good media center. Since being in school for the last year and a half I have lost a lot of ground on whats new in the computer world.

Steve and Conda responding in a thread I made?? I must be moving up in the forum world

Good to see you to sRc. I've made more then 1 post in the last 24 hours so I've broken my once a year pop in and out streak already. :

In the old days I was into gaming laptops. I'm waiting for a tablet do it all. Or, at least most. This was suppose to be the year of the tablet. Its the year of the iPad instead. It just makes me realize these people need to hire me. I'm sitting here waiting to give them money for something that only lives in my head.

You can build a good machine now a days. I don't know if its just me, but lately, it doesn't seem like game makers have been pushing the envelope lately. Might be a few titles, like you crazy guys that like army shooters but I'm not in to those.

My Mac could run Dragon Age on high settlings so I was pretty happy with that. My Asus, kinda collects dust waiting for that game the Mac can't run. It hasn't happened yet lol.

So, Steve,FF, sRc. Can one of you guys explain to me what Credits are for and what I can do with it? If I can shop, just point me to the right place.

Yes Steve and Conda, what are credits for? I have thousands of them, please tell me I can use them to buy computer stuff

Synergi, your right it doesn't seem like games are pushing much, I just want to be able to handle it all.
