What about the power setting properties? Make it full performance even when on battery and see?

The graphics card should still be able to use its low-performance 3D clocks on battery. You should check to make sure powermizer is working. Also, make sure your battery is working.

my roomate's 1530 does that as well, just drops as soon as he loses the cable, and has since he got it (he got it in a system exchange). mine doesn't, so not sure what it could be really

im no guru so zzpulp can u explain wot powermizer's about n how i can activate it
post #6 of 14
nVidia Powermizer should be already active if you have not touched the nVidia utilities and drivers since owning your comp. But as zzpulp mentioned, you need to be sure that your battery is in working condition, which according to your other thread is likely to be failing at the moment.
