Some problems with my M15x....

Problem1: whenever i start the laptop for the first time in a day, the screen doesnt show up...(altough the laptop status lights work properly,showing its runing)
I have to connect the laptop to the charger to get the screen runing, afterwards no matter how many time i restart the laptop in a day it works fine..

Problem2: I just got my Free win7 Dvd...
Ugraded from Vista to Win7 every software is working fine except Alien fusion, sense & touch and I get this strage box after loggin in, saying Error0000.... wonder wat that is?

Problem3: When i played shift on vista it played very smooth @ the highest settings...
But now after the Win7 Upgrade its running real slow even @ the lowest setting.... Tried upgrading and downgrading the nvidia drivers... nothing happens....

Problem4: When i turn off the laptop and charge it, the status lights(alienheads) dont show that the the machine is charging or not(they are simply off)??....


I guess someone would have answers to my problems .....

there's probably a driver for Windows 7 on Alienware's site that will fix the Alien fusion problem

For problem 3 sounds like you enabled Stealth mode its th ebutton that liikes like a UFO on your quicklaunch pad make sure its disabled by touching it again.

Problem 4 sounds like its related to the AlienFX GUI not being installed properly and choosing an off theme.

hi, with problem number one i have the same thing except that now no matter what i do it won't start. :/ really need help with this 1 my laptop is useless because of it

What happens when you just leave the battery out? Try it tomorrow and see.

also solved my problem. The gpu contacts were obviously loosely connected. I tightened the screws and made sure it wouldn't move and since then it has worked like a charm. It occasionally started up when the contacts were in properly which explains that and they must have shifted causing the freezes.
