Second Xbox360 and second RLOD :(

As the title says, this is my second 360 and second RLOD. Not bad since my second 360 worked well almost daily for 2 years plus.

I guess it's time to buy a "Jasper Version" or is there any news of an upcoming revised possibly slimmer/cooler 360?

Should I buy now or wait?

Do you happen to have bought the extended warranty? If not there's places that will fix your machine from the ROD for pretty cheap if you search. Good luck

Microsoft still has warranty period extended for RROD specifically, it should still be covered

Yup, got it fixed for $50. Played an hour already and no problems...TOUCH WOOD!

my XBOX is still running good, luckily... first gen I think, bought it from a pawn shop about two years ago now

One of my good friends has a launch era Xbox 360 and it miraculously works as well. I'm quite astonished at that. It's been to and from Iraq a couple times.

My Elite I purchased 2 years ago is still kicking. However, I don't play it much in the summer because I don't have Central A/C nor a small unit in my den. So it mainly stays off during the summertime.
