Call of Duty, 9100 and Catalyst

I've read that there were problems will COD locking up on the 9100, and that the fix was to install catalyst 3.10 +. Is this a perfect fix? I ask as I've installed catalyst 4.4 and it froze after about 10 mins play....

It may well be because the exe caused a 'severe' warning and the inf files could not be found until I used a dh modding tool :- http://www.driverheaven.net/patje/

Anyone suggestions? A different catalyst version? Fast write off? thanks.

I just purchased the retail version of COD and have not had a single problem. When I played the COD demo, my system locked up within seconds of starting the game. I did do a total system reinstall and tried using both the Omega and Dell drivers. I must admit, I am having better luck with the Dell drivers. My system seems to runs smoother and my fans don't seem to turn on a often. Hope this helps you.

I can't get more than 10 minutes with hyper-threading enabled ( with Dell drivers). With HT disabled, I have only had one lock-up in probably 20 hours or so of playing. I tried the Omega drivers and played for about an hour with no problems. Uninstalled them though and reverted to Dell drivers as, other than 1920x1200, they are not supporting most widescreen resolutions. I have gotten an email from Omega saying that the next release will.

"To start, press any key............Hmmmmm, where's the ANY key?"

How to turn hyperthreading off....?

Is it 'delete' during boot? If so , does it work wwitha multi profile machine?

I would totally format your hard drive. Install windows again, get the current drivers for everything, and forget all the bull crap software that dell puts on your computer. If you game alot, formatting and new driver installiation might be a good idea?.?

I agree totally. Reformatting and doing a clean install seemed to eliminate every lockup problem that I had
