Hey, I'm looking for a new laptop. I want a 15" screen or smaller, but I'm also looking for decent power. I want to be able to do some light gaming on, Steam games and such, and also have good portability. So far I've searched a few notebooks and have come across the Asus N81Vp:

What do you think about this notebook? Any blaring issues with the laptop? Are there any better alternatives around the same price? All input is appreciated, thanks.

ONLY choice in portable gaming. I recommend you to see for yourself in local BB store or other retailers carrying "gaming" rated 15"+ laptops how much bulkier those really are comparing to regular "office" rated 15"+. Usual equation is 15"=>16". I have posted o`c thread about N81 @ this website plus some benchmarks. From my personal experience, the only thing to be complaining about is the keyboard which will turn just fine is couple weeks of getting used to it
. I have swapped 3 different CPUs in it, O`cd ATI 4650, even spilled some fluids all over it and it still runs strong. Currently am running Wolfenstein in 1900x1200 on my external screen without hiccups
. This all maintaining the portability of 14", and staying below 6 LB. One more thing. Just put in P9800 which is low voltage and power in once. Battery life with WiFi and screen on med short of 3 hours. Hope this helps
