Help! How to Turn off Battery Indicator?

Hello everyone,

i need help, i like to turn off the battery indicator in my m1210, is it possible? the problem is the indicator keeps on blinking the orange light, this may be due to the dead battery, i just like to turn off the battery indicator if possible and keep the battery intact. i already checked the bios but no luck, maybe there is another way?

I do not think you can turn it off, remove the battery or buy a new one.

You can probably insert some thin non-conductive material between the battery connector and the laptop connector.

Another thing you can do is to remove the hinge cover and cover up the battery led only. This will still let you see the power and hard drive leds and you won't even be able to notice that the led is covered when looking from the outside.
