The drive ending in 438 is a green (meaning power savings) drive and the other is not. All other specs are the same.

Ever since I got my first SSD, I have been in love with them. Now I put them in all of my current favorite laptops (and move the HDs to my backup machines). Though benchmarks may make a big deal about the differences between brands, ANY SSD will blow the benchies off of a regular HDs in day to day use.

Right now I'm a big fan of Samsung SSDs - for their good GB/ price ratio. As you can see from my sig - I have 3 of them running in 2 different notebooks. Good luck!

So ssd's are the best way to go. Can't wait until the prices drop even more.
