I have a horrible problem, Brand new game- its great, Gonna have a LAN party, but BOOM, Problem, i play for 5 mins and its dead. Graphics are stuck, Sound goes a tad choppy- the computer doesn't respond. I've searced forms and ideas from people for a while nothing seemst o be an easy fix. Its a mobility 9600 in a sager notebook. I hear there seems to be widespread gamer problems- which is unacceptable. So please help! I have the latest drivers and everything i still can't play!!

Search for instructions by Violetdream on how to remove your heatsink and clean out the dust. It's probably a heat issue.

i don't think any "official" sager drivers except for the 7.93s are gonna work with cal of duty. you need to revert to the 7.93s or upgrade your drivers to some newest omegas to get it to work. i know i am playing it soooooon!!

COD works fine on my 8890 with the latest Omega drivers - provided fastwrites are turned OFF (in the ATI control panel). When I turn them on, I get exactly the issues you describe.....frozen screen, weird sound....

Yep, COD works fine for me with the latest Omega drivers too. Never locks up, and I play every night

Yeah i already did the heat issue thing. It helped planetside out and instead of 4 fps i get 60, COD is still messed up , i'll look at playing with the drivers thanks

No, not the same. Each driver provider "writes\assembles" their own, based on the manufacturer's (ATI) original drivers, of course.
