Configfree problem and wireless.

This is the second time this has happened. My mother recently purchased a toshiba netbook with windows xp home on it. When trying to connect to the prefered network it is not shown in the windows network screen, but configfree does see it. When trying to drag the connection in the configfree utility to the right network, she gets the error message Another vendors application is controlling the wireless adapter. How can this be resolved because it is very annoying. I probably would be able to help her but she is on vacation right now so without the laptop infront of me i cant really mess around with it, but if anyone has any solutions I can explain them to her. Thanks

Have you looked into turning off (disabling) Windows Zero Configuration in the Services option?

My mother was connected to someone elses network so I was able to access her computer this time remotely. I looked at the wireless setup and checked allow windows to control my wireless settings and that might have fixed the problem.

Cool. One of those conflicts between the 3rd party Wireless Manager and Windows then. Thanks for the feedback.
