Hey guys. I am new to the whole LCD HDTV thing, and was wondering what would be the best route for seeing my laptop on the tv?
I have S-Video (with more than 4 prongs, I think 6, 7, or 8), VGA, and Standard Audio Out on my Dell Inspiron 1720... The LCD HDTV should have VGA, Composite/Component, HDMI, etc. like most HDTVs these days. (Its a Samsung 32" 720p that was released earlier this year)
So what is my best route for connecting the laptop and TV so that I can use it as a 2nd monitor and drag videos to it? I want to be able to take advantage of my 720p with my HD videos I have on my laptop.
Also, I have an XBox 360... Since the TV is only 720p, should it be about the same to use Component (Red, Green, Blue video w/ Red and White audio) as it would be to use HDMI? I would rather not spend the extra $20-$30 on the HDMI and use the Component stuff that came with my Xbox.
Thanks!
