Thread Starter
Thank God for cyber Mondays. Just picked this up. Let me know if I got a good deal. I wanted to buy a Dell, but didn't want to spend over $1500 for the Studio 16 XPS.
Dell was offering the Studio with Core2 Duo and did not offer a sale on the i7 version. Hope I dont miss out on the LED LCD screen.

Just ordered my dv8t a couple days ago and I’m very excited to get my hands on this notebook! I'm replacing a Toshiba X205-Sli3 that unexpectedly died after 2 years of use. I will never buy another Toshiba notebook. Anyway my HP will be equipped with the following features:

dv8t quad edition
• Genuine Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
• Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-720QM Processor (1.6GHz, 6MB L2 Cache, 1333MHz FSB) w/Turbo Boost up to 2.8 GHz
• FREE Upgrade to 4GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm) from 3GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)
• FREE Upgrade to 320GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection
• 1GB Nvidia GeForce GT 230M
• 18.4" diagonal High Definition HP Ultra BrightView Infinity Display (1920x1080p)
• Lightscribe Blu-ray ROM with SuperMulti DVD+/-R/RW with Double Layer Support
• Webcam + Fingerprint Reader with HP Imprint Finish (Espresso Black)
• Intel Wireless-N Card with Bluetooth
• HP Integrated HDTV Hybrid Tuner
• HP Color Matching Keyboard
• 8 Cell Lithium Ion Battery
• Microsoft(R) Works 9.0

Wish I'd caught the Cyber Monday special, but I did receive a $200 instant rebate. The final price with tax was $1592.99. My estimated ship date is Jan. 25, hope it ships sooner.

I ordered this system back in November of last year and returned it...18.3" it's just way to big to me and it looked tacky with it's size.
