Hi all,
Have problem with Mitac Minote 8227DMP notebook, screen is split in two (miroring image ) (on startup, in bios, in windows) like when you put desktop picture to tile instead center.
I disesambled whol notebook to parts searching for burned or broaken parts, but whole notebook looks fine.
Flasehd bios with new one, but that didnt resolve my problem!
now i am trying to flash vga bios or downcloack vga core, but i cant find any vga bios downlodable for that notebook.

8227DMP has nvidia 8600MGS-512mb vga.

if anybody knows where to find vga bios for mitac notebook's, i would be greateful on any kind of links or tips how to fix this problem!!!

tnx in front!

How does it look when you hook in an external monitor? Could be that your LCD is failing?

tnx on reply,
nothing on external monitor, bouth on dvi and on hdmi output.
default key to switch is fn + F5 to turn them on but nothing happens!

as i further investigate my problem it appears that whole bunch of people have mayor issue with mobile 86x and 96x nvidia series and everything is pointing to hardware problem of vga cpu. but my problem look's like memory of vga has gone vile.
what i am trying to do is get bios for modification to downcloack memory and cpu.

Have you tried the main site?

ftp://psftp.mic.com.cn/ (user=disti; password=disti1) (I hope that it is still available for access)

Hi, I noticed that there was over two years between your last post and the on before that. Does this mean that you've got your laptop up and running again?

My laptop, also a 8227dmp, has the same problem with the split screen. So If you've found a solution, it would be more than welcome.
