Flickering Screen

Well, for some reason, my screen suddenly starts flickering (sometimes more noticeably than others) when I pull up the screen and sometimes just by itself, even though I'm not moving or humping the lappie. Anybody seen this on yours? Would you know why would that happen? I haven't noticed it while playing... maybe I'm too focused. I would also like to ask if getting an external HD is a better idea than buying the internal 7200 RPM HD. Thanks!!

Yea man --- I had this happen to me too. It would flciker noticably then be fine for a day or 2. however it reoccurs so I RMA'ed it (the emachines dude was really cool about the whole things......I told him the screen is PERFECT so I asked if they could first just replace the inverter). Since I added 512megs inside --- I have to open the machine before I ever send the it back. I have to remove the internal 512 and replace it with the original (which I keep handy) 256meg stick.
