That's a funny story! good thing you got accident insurance. How much are they offering you for the laptop? It might be best to take the refund and get a new one!

Mine hasn't gotten to the depot yet, so my saga has not even begun.

Dell has not been giving third degree to the new users that are asking for replacement i think it was just us the begineers who paved the way for you guys

re: the vomit

if it's covered by CompleteCare, most likely they won't even try to do anything once thye see its vomit, theyll put it back in the box, mark it as a Biohazard, and set up a system exchange

Vomit? Damn, might as well have opened it up, taken a shat in there, and screwed it back on nice and tight. Hope you didn't try to turn it on too, get the video card nice and hot to cook up some shit.

Some poor tech is going to kill him/herself.

Yeah, I checked online, and it says that they have set up another dispatch. The info says CCE and PND, which I assume means it is a pending Complete Care Exchange. No other info for now, but I'll keep you posted. They better not try to send me a Studio XPS 16 or Inspiron 1737.

OMG! These peope are morons. I just got an automated call from Dell that my computer repair was completed and that my computer had been delivered to my return address. I had already gotten an email saying the same, but the return address was in LaVergne, TN. I called them, and they told me that they had shipped it to the wrong address and that I would need to call FedEx to pick it up and redeliver it to my address. When I mentioned the new service call that had been set up, he brushed it off and told me to call FedEx to get the computer shipped to me. I figure the address in LaVergne, TN is a Dell facility where they collect the systems that cannot be repaired, but this guy was so stupid, he wouldn't even listen to me. No wonder Dell is going down the tubes.

So they lost your notebook and now you have to call the courier wow are they paying you to do their job?

dude same crap they tried to pull on me. call back talk to a diffrent guy or chat is better. they are saying that TN bs to almost all people who are getting exchanges. just keep your eyes on the target an m17x.

Yeah, I chatted in and the guy confirmed that the LaVergne, TN address was just another internal Dell department and that I do have an exchange that was set up on 12/11. He said it could be 10 to 15 calendar days from that date. I am not holding my breath.
