Inspiron 1440 Video Card

Howdy all,

I've just received a 1440 as a system exchange. Mine has the Intel graphics. Is it safe to assume that the Intel graphics are integrated into the MOBO? The 1440 is apparently available with an ATI 512MB card. I'm guessing there is no chance I could pick one up and stick it in this thing?

It still shocks me that I have the ability to throw 8gigs in a laptop. This is a replacement for an E1405 and my I9300 is still my go-to laptop.

Thanks in advance!
Jim

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's integrated, I've never heard of a dedicated one save larabee but that's not out and might never be.
As for upgrading....umm, depends if the mobo comes with the slot, it probably does though, best way to find out is opening it up.

typically they are two different boards with separate part numbers
