... with 1005P ASUS Eee PC coupled with Intel Atom N450

"The first images of ASUS Eee PC 1005P are available showing a black and a white version. From a "reliable" source there is mentioning of a blue version of the new Intel Atom N450 netbook.

The black model reminds many of the Eee PC 1001HA carbon looking model, the same can be said with the white version of the Eee PC 1005P, apart from a larger hard drive, glossy display and a thicker battery that promises a 12hrs performance. Otherwise, the housing is not so different from the classic Eee PC 1005HA."

"ASUS Eee PC 1005P Specifications:

* 10 "LED display WideSVGA matt, resolution 1024 × 600
* Intel Atom N450
* 1GB DDR2-RAM
* 160 GB HDD
* 10/100 Ethernet, wireless 802.11 bg
* 3x USB 2.0, SD / MMC card reader, 0.3 MP Webcam
* VGA-out, microphone-in and line-out
* 6-cell Li-ion battery (probably smaller than in PE)
* Windows 7 Starter

ASUS Eee PC 1005PE Specifications:

* 10 "WideSVGA glossy LED display, resolution 1024 × 600
* Intel Atom N450
* GMA 3150
* 1GB DDR2-RAM
* 250 GB HDD
* 10/100 Ethernet, wireless 802.11 bg
* 3x USB 2.0, SD / MMC card reader, 0.3 MP Webcam
* VGA-out, microphone-in and line-out
* 6-cell Li-Ion Battery
* Windows 7 Starter

One can see that ASUS is using the same strategy as with its ASUS 1005HA and 1005HA-M-P models - the Eee PC 1005P will come with a smaller 6-cell battery than the 1005PE. "

These N450 processors will be the norm for the first part of 2010.
