more streamlined facelift...we may be seeing this soon

Mozilla put up some mock-ups screen shots back in July'09. Internal decision is still yet to be finalized if the Chrome look would win over, or the current Firefox look would stay.

It is slated for late 2010 introduction at this stage, we have a way to go yet. But it will something that other browsers would want go after

Mozilla won't be releasing new versions of Firefox as early as initially planned. The next version of Firefox (version 3.6) was planned to be released sometime this year. Now, this version won't be released until at least the first quarter of 2010.

I would not mind when Mozilla takes the time and makes sure that the released version is bug free

Personally I think FF 4 is so far in the future that we could speculate until we all turned blue in the face and I don't think we would be close to what the final version looks like. I don't care what they do to the UI so long as they give me a way to keep it looking not like Chrome. My eye, instead, is on faster startup performance, not needing to restart to install addons, better RAM reclamation, etc.

Being living with Minefield for ages, I am quite happy knowing that FF would eventually be the fastest browser out there

And yes, not having to restart after an add-on is definitively a plus.
