Acer models

I find it very confusing when someone posts about a certain Acer model. There just doesnt seem to be any rhyme or reason to the numbering or trying to figure out how old it may be. Toshiba for example had say the Satellite A50 series then the A55,A60,A65,A70 now up to A500,L500,X500 etc
Not so with Acer. Any easy way of figuring out the Acer system???

Count two people as confused by Acer's model naming.

Michelle tried to explain it to me a long time ago but it still didnt make much sense to me.....lol

I think they use 2 dart boards with numbers on it. The first 4 darts is the model number, the second 4 are for the series in that run.
