T61 screen replacement help

I have a t61 with a 15.4" TFT screen and fancy ugrading it to a 15.4" WUXGA. Are all LCD screens generic and i can use a screen sourced from a Dell laptop instead? as i presume all screens use a 30pin connector now?

Or if someone knows where a can source a replacement screen cheap in UK?

Not all screens come with the 30 pins connectors, but most of them are. You might want also replacing the inverter if you more up to another screen resolution.

eBay.UK? They have some good deals there, or even across the pond if the shipping cost is fair?
