gut Inspiron 9300 refill new XPS boards?

Thread Starter
Surely someone has managed to replace the motherboard, bus, bios, and processor, etc., to use the laptop body, screen (new, replaced 1920x1200), power supply/baterry and video card, etc.) !

Seems like with a little extra soldering work it should be possible to recycle the big parts of the 9300. especially the screen.

Anybody?

Go for a visual check first? Part number, parts specs and form?

cheers ...

You could replace the 9300 innards with the XPS Gen 2 and M170 insides, but less parts are perfectly compatible if you wanted to upgrade the 9300-type chassis with 9400/E1705/M1710/M90/M6300 internals. (by increasingly incompatible order, esp, GPU/CPU HSF, expansion card slots and cards, access lids, etc)
