Inspiron 9400 upgrades.

New to the community and I was hoping I could get some help on what upgrades I can do to my anceint 9400 Inspiron. It has an Intel Core Solo T1300 @ 1.66 GHz. 80 Gb hardrive, 2 GB of RAM and I'm not sure where to find out the video card. This PC is about 5 years old now and is running Windows 7 Ultimate with a breeze. I would just like to revive this thing once again.

Thanks for the input.

(I've heard you can put 4 GB of RAM in these things, it will only let system use 3.25 of it but it is possible).

You could put a t7200, t7400 or a T7600 CPU for a big jump in CPU pefromance

You can out 4 GB of ram, and yes you will only be able to use @ 3.25 GB of it but it will run in dual channel mode which is slightly faster.

as far as the Video Card look in Control Panel - Device manager and expand the Video Card icon

You can put a new hard drive up to 500 Gb and I suggest a 7200 RPM

If money is no option you could look at a SSD drive. but they are still quite expensive stick with the standard drives lol
