Acer 5739g cant use touchpad and Keyboard simultaneously

Thread Starter
I've got a Acer 5739g for Christmas.

While I was hoping to use this for games, I have not been able to as the keyboard and touchpad cannot be used at the same time.

How do I sort this out?

Check and see if you happen to have the touch pad deactivated whilst "typing"

Nice machine.

Thanks!

The touchpad is enabled and I cannot find a option labled "Disable touchpad while typing" in the Synaptics driver.

Im having a simalar issue issue ( dont mind the spelling cause spell check wont work in this text box) i have a Acer laptop idk what one but its 15.6". I cant use the keyboard and mouse together and there's no tap settings for the new synapsis  or any for that matter envolving devises on my laptop. I did recently had my laptop taken apart and parts removed because it broke 2 months after i got it. I couldn't connect to wi-fi because he forgot some stuff or did not enable it. i also have problems with any settings n my computer and looking/ Detecting any devises connected to my laptop. I added  additional information just incase it could be something envolving a missing code or part. PLZ Help

Have you tried un-installing and re-installing the driver, from Acer support site?

Aha I have fixed it. Synapsis made an update which switched the tap settings into Palm check (same as tap settings except duration of disabled mouse instead of disabling it) You can find Palm check in properties in the Pointing section on the Synaptics V7.2 touch pad and put it all the way to the left. ( The slide bar not the window Xp) Hope this helps

Oh and the no devise connected problem is fixed

Do you happen to have the link to the driver update to share?
