cannot install Win7 64 bit on area 51 m17x

I am having issues installing win7 64 bit on my laptop. this is a copy downloaded from our microsoft agreement site. get the following error which i have googled. all i've found is suggestions to reburn the iso which i've done on multiple laptops with no success to the error:

"A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now

Note: If the Windows installation media is in the CD/DVD drive, you can safely remove it for this step"

Last question: what key do i hit to get to the one time boot option menu? I'd like to try to boot to an external DVD Drive to see if i can install it from there. I've tried every function key on the keyboard. Thanks for any help!

I recently had the same issue. Once the offical windows 7 dvd boots - it launches the install program but after that it does not recognize the dvd drive. I got around it by booting from the internal drive and then switching to an external dvd drive. I was able to load Win 7 but I am still left with an internal dvd drive which does not work. (still looking for a solution)
