Hi I have an old emachines m2105 with a celeron 2.53.

I would like to upgrade to a pentium 4 processor.

Did somebody out there do that already?

Mainly I would like to know the compatible processors and how to get to the socket...

Thanks!

One of many reference Pentium CPU list that would fit the socket of your comp model. I personally don't see any advantages for doing it though.

I doubt it would work with any other CPU than the original because the BIOS would not support it.

I figured I would post an upgrade on my issue sine I have finally succeed.

I took off the original Celeron and put a Pentium 4 2.8 with an FSB of 400 (That was the key) and I am running on it!

For $25 on ebay I had a significant increase on my laptop's performance...

So far so good,

I would say that the air is warmer than with the cel and the fans are a little busier but I've been working all day long for a couple of days without problems...

I'll post if something goes bad...
