machine is about 5yrs old.The other day I left it on for a couple of hours. When i returned,I had the BSOD stating "page fault where there is no page".Could not boot into safe mode.It appears to be booting, post looks OK,but flashes through the Blue Screen and tries to reboot.Tried the recover module..it boots to root of c:\ unable to go to Windows directory.Chkdsk indicates "unrecoverable errors".Tried to reinstall xp but it gets about 3 minutes into it and gives disk has errors and quits.I tried the Acronis(disk image)rescue disk.I can get the directory on C:
but cannot find my backup. It was on an external USB drive and it is wiped clean. This drive was plugged into the 9860 but not turned on when it
bellyed up.Any ideas,or should I just junk it.
It has been a good machine, everything worked.
Maybe get a hard drive and start over..??
It has two60gb set up with Raid 1.Thanks for any suggestions.Fuzz

I'm still fooling with the 9860.It has 2 60G drives setup for RAID 1.
I took one drive out and retrieved some of the data.I thought that the 2nd drive would be there also...I can't find it under any of the panels on the underside.
Do I have take the case apart to get to this drive.I feel stupid asking but,I'm worried that I'm missing something. So before I take anything else apart I thought I would ask.
Thanks again..Aaargh...disregard I found it.They are together...Sorry for the waste of bandwidth.
