This forum's pages flicking

I am not sure whether my laptop or am I missing something, the pages in this forum keep flicking while I read but I don't get that flicking in other sites. Is there any settings I can do to adjust it. Thanks.

Ethernet ADSL modem, since I have moved from IE7 to IE8 the flickering is not too bad.

Thanks ghn, I have disabled all Add-ons except IE7Pro, I hope it'll resolve this for me.

Great stuff. Give us some feedback after testing/checking it out. We can all learn from it.

I have found this solution by googling but I must wait and see how well it works.

You are not using IE6, aren't you? But if it works, sure fine.

So this is an IE issue and not a NBF issue?

well something sub-IE even. I wasn't able to recreate it when Powerpack first started talking about it, the site works fine for me under IE.

I do apologise guys/girls, I didn't explain my problem properly in the first instance, the pages don't flicker and they are fine but it's down to my very slow Integrated graphics which opens pages very slowly. Thanks for the suggestions.

Integrated Graphic Cards should not have anything to do with the slow loading page (rendering).

You can try:

. defrag your comp if you have not done so in a while

. making sure that you have plenty of disk space left

. clear out cache and temp files

. review your router/modem configuration (reset them)

. review your firewall/antivirus settings

. talk to internet service provider(?)

as Q said, it's probably not your graphics card (unless you have Adobe Flash 10.1 beta installed) but it could be your processor, memory amount, other programs (or viruses/malware) you're running, or internet connection (or any combination of those)

Good point but would this be site specific as OP mentioned this site and not others?

My gut is no but just a guess.
