m17x monitor upgrade?

I currently have the 1440 x 900 monitor in my m17x. Have any of you experienced upgrading the monitor, or know what part number I would ask for if I were looking to purchase the 17-inch WideUXGA 1920x1200 monitor from dell/alienware?

any help would be appreciated!

Changing to the WUXGA panel should not be a problem, but buying the part from Dell will cost you your first born.

LoL, but I really love my first born. I did a search on Ebay and on the forsale forums and I couldn't find it. Do you know if its the same monitor that is all their 17inch notebooks?

the M17x uses a special E2E LCD so you need to buy the LCD and the proper frame for it all in one piece.

$800 probably cheaper through Dell, LINK

Same part number here for much less than that, granted that it is a used one.
