yeah id like to see to, honestly i dont think so, as the temp in my point of view are high enough to cause temp/stress fatigue but not high enough to cause a true or close to true reflow as the heat from a oven or heatgun, but again the guy seems honest and it definitly makes some sense.

Assuming it is the GPU-chip you can use flux and try resoldering the chipset depending on how good you are. works on xbox 360.
