GT 230M Vs. GT 320M

Thread Starter
I'm about to order a HP desktop replacement, and I can't decide which one to get because of the graphics cards availible. I'm either going to get the dv7t quad with the GeForce GT 320M and 1600x900 screen, or the dv8t quad with the GeForce GT 230M and the 1920x1080 screen. I want the higher res screen, but I don't know anything about the graphics cards. Can someone enlighten me.

P.S. I'm coming from a dv8000t with all the bells and whistles.

I would take the Quad/GT230M/1920x1080.

GT325M is being classified lower than the GT230M. Or did you mean GT330M

cheers ...

I agree with qhn.

I looked on HP site it is GT320m. I looked around cannot find any info. I guess it has 32 SP's vs 48 SP's GT230m has? I mainly guess because the GT325m has 48 SP'a and GT230m 48 SP's GT130m 32 SP's.

But regardless since G325m is below GT240m, GT320m is a lager drop if 32 SP's large.

Here is a link to what Nvidia is listing now.

Have a read at this HP disclaimer, I do not think the issues are only HP but a good read?

Flip a coin then go 230. First number is the series second is the performance.
