So I just got a Lenovo Yoga 13. This is my review.
As what I primarily do is writing and programming, having a good keyboard is critical for me, which is why a tablet alone can’t work for me, and...
I have owned dozens of laptops in a variety of brands, and had many different laptops provided for my use at work. Without question, this is the finest I have owned. The Alienware M17x R2 is a...

One of the longest and most enduring brands in computers is Thinkpad. Originally developed by IBM in the USA, Thinkpad notebook computers are now...
yea, I'm also in the market for a new gaming laptop. My m15x is getting old. I'd like to last till sandy bridge, but I'm definitely tempted to buy dual 5870s.. Another thing that worries me is stuff like "Onlive" aka cloud gaming, which doesn't require a 4k system..
Looks like end of April now....can you still hold off?
How sure are you of this? If it's true then I'll be holding off ordering a M17x with xfire 4870's till then. I'm kind of worried about ordering one and by the time it's delivered the dual 5870's are out!
The only problem I'm expecting is with maybe bad initial drivers and also BIOS conflicts. With Ati's track record of shoddy drivers for card releases I hope it ain't so!

The original launch was supposed to happen end of March. They pushed it back to end of April. Nothing is a guaranty.

Another interesting fact is weather or not xfire will be available even through AW seeing as all the chipsets I've seen so far lack xfire connector pins.
With the back-orders now, I wouldn't get the M17X for a month anyway.
After all the talking I did about waiting I went ahead and ordered. I had a coupon that was expiring soon and didn't want to waste it. I know my contacts at Dell will hook me up with 5870s when the time comes.

They will be xfire. That I am 100% sure of considering I've already seen the benchmarks.
There's always going to be something better that's coming out on the Horizon, I've pretty much gotten use to that. That's why I take hiatuses from these boards. When I'm about to buy something I come on actively and when I get my new PC I'll go away and come back when it's that time to get a new PC again.
